Summary

Natasha: I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is twelve hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story. Daniel: I’ve always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents’ high expectations. Never the poet. Or the dreamer. But when I see her, I forget about all that. Something about Natasha makes me think that fate has something much more extraordinary in store—for both of us. The Universe: Every moment in our lives has brought us to this single moment. A million futures lie before us. Which one will come true?

Discussion

- I really liked this story and the perspective that it gives you on people, their lives, and other important topics.

- I have a soft spot for hopeless romantics because well I'm a hopeless romantic as well! So my favorite character was Daniel because I feel like I can really relate to him and his views on the world.

- Charlie whom I will call "onion boy," (thumbs up to you if you know where this line is from!!). So "onion boy," was Daniels brother who I found to be my least favorite character due to the fact that he was a jerk, and absolutely full of himself.

- Oh my goodness that ending!!!! I loved how I thought they would be separated forever but....... they find each other once more! I would have normally rolled my eyes cause cliché but I really wanted them to be together!

- I didn't love the part where Natasha confronts her dad. It made me feel really bad for everyone involved because I can only imagine how uncomfortable this must have been. Also I couldn't stop cringing because it almost felt as if I was there watching it all unfold.

- Most memorable quote:

"It's like knowing all the words to a song but still finding them beautiful and strange."

Final thoughts

- This book is so adorable but also serious in what it talks about. I loved the story and the characters, as well as the romance! I definitely recommend this book I really loved it!
