Summary

Eleanor... Red hair, wrong clothes. Standing behind him until he turns his head. Lying beside him until he wakes up. Making everyone else seem drabber and flatter and never good enough...Eleanor. Park... He knows she'll love a song before he plays it for her. He laughs at her jokes before she ever gets to the punch line. There's a place on his chest, just below his throat, that makes her want to keep promises...Park. Set over the course of one school year, this is the story of two star-crossed sixteen-year-olds—smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try.

If you haven’t read this book and are still considering reading it then I recommend you pick it up before continuing so that you are not spoiled!

Discussion

- 4 coffee cups for you Glen Coco, You go Glen Coco! Well I absolutely loved this book and there's not much more to be said about why I rated it as I did!

- I would have to say that my favorite character in this story had to be Park! Yes even though he was a bit mean (OK a lot mean) to Eleanor at the beginning of the book he really redeems himself in my eyes. I love the fact that he shares all these precious things with Eleanor not even knowing how precious they become to her. How he's able to help her in a way escape from the real world even if it's just for a second.

- I despised Eleanor's step-dad, and I'm not even sure if despise is a good enough word for how much I disliked him! I literally don't need to explain the why, if you read the book you know how horrible he was!

- My favorite part would have to be when Park FINALLY holds Eleanor's hand after having shared his comics with her for a good while. My weak and pathetic heart was so happy!

- I think the scene I hated most in this book was when I found out the Eleanor's step-dad was the one writting those horrible things on her stuff. What in the actual f*** is wrong with this man! I wanted to slap him silly for being so evil to a child.

- Most memorable quote would have to be:

" He'd stopped trying to bring her back. She only came back when she felt like it anyway, in dreams and lies and broken-down Déjà vu."

Final thoughts

- This book swept me away on an emotional roller coaster (which I love when that happens) and I loved it so much! If you love romance like me and going on cute love journeys then you might like this book, or love it like me! Although the ending made me incredibly sad I would not have this book any other way. In short yes I recommend this beautiful book!
